Age Limits: No upper age limit for appearing in WB SET Examination.
Top 6% of appearing candidates who score aggregate 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Transgender) across both Paper I and Paper II are declared qualified.
General: ₹1200/- | Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS: ₹600/- | SC/ST/PWD/Transgender: ₹300/-.
Paper-I: 50 Objective MCQs, 100 Marks, 1 Hour (Teaching and Research Aptitude, Reasoning, Comprehension, ICT, Higher Education System)
Paper-II: 100 Objective MCQs, 200 Marks, 2 Hours (Subject Selected by Candidate from 33 Subjects)
Aggregate qualifying criterion: Candidates must have appeared in both papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks (General/EWS) or 35% aggregate marks (SC/ST/OBC/PwD). Top 6% in each subject & category qualify for Assistant Professorship.
Pay Level 10 (Academic Pay Level ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400/month) as Assistant Professor in West Bengal Colleges and Universities under UGC 7th Pay Commission
